Machines for this job

Send size, material and finish — we will confirm the fit from the current range.

How we match the machine

Four things that decide tumblast, hanger, table, conveyor or a room.

  1. Part type

Tumblast or table for small parts. Hanger or automatic when the part must be held and the coverage is specified.

  2. Control

Peening is not a clean-only job. Intensity and coverage have to match your drawing if you have one.

  3. Finish

A controlled peen for fatigue life — not the same as rust removal.

  4. What we need

Part, alloy, whether you have an Almen or coverage spec, and batch size.

Questions buyers ask

Machine, finish and what we need to quote shot peening.

01 Which machine for shot peening?
Tumblast or table for loose small parts. Hanger or an automatic line when the part must be fixtured and coverage is on the drawing.
02 Is peening the same as cleaning?
No. Peening is a controlled intensity and coverage job. Cleaning can share a similar machine family, but the setup is different.
03 What finish should we specify?
Send the peening spec if you have one (intensity, coverage, media). If you do not, tell us the part and the fatigue requirement.
04 What do you need for a quote?
Part size, alloy, batch size, and any Almen or coverage note from the drawing.
